The 3-Point Lighting Lab
Every DoP starts here. Switch the lights on and off to see what each one does.
Key, fill and back light
The key shapes the face, the fill softens the shadows, and the back light separates the actor from the background. In Module 4 you light real scenes: day, night, interior and car shots.
Tip: key only = dramatic. Add fill = interview look. Add back light = cinematic separation.
Cinematography or Videography?
Both use a camera, but they lead to different careers. Fulcrum teaches both.
